Nana Ama Ayensua Saara III is a prominent figure in Ghana, serving as the Omanhemaa (Queen Mother) of the Denkyira Traditional Area in the Central Region. Born on October 30th, 1970, in Jukwa, she was given the name Doris Theresa Nanah. She attended school in Jukwa from 1974 to 1984 and then went to Aggrey Memorial Secondary School in Cape Coast, where she completed her GEC “O” Level from 1984 to 1989.
In 1989, Nana Ama Ayensuaa Saara III continued her studies at Takoradi Polytechnic (now Takoradi Technical University), where she majored in Business Studies until 1991. Later, between 1996 and 1999, she went to the University of Cape Coast and obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree.
In 1993, Nana Ama Ayensua Saara III succeeded her grandmother, Nana Adwoa Saara II, as the Queen Mother of Denkyira and joined her uncle, Odeefuo Baa Amponsem III, the Denkyirahene, in governing the traditional area.
Currently, Nana Ama Ayensua Saara III is the CEO of Nasaa Group of Companies, which is involved in Fishing and Agricultural activities. She has also served on various Boards and Committees related to Chieftaincy and Culture, and in the past, worked as a Research Officer at the Central Regional House of Chiefs in Cape Coast. Additionally, she has attended several workshops, seminars, and conferences on Chieftaincy and Culture and presented papers at some of them.
Nana Ama Ayensua Saara III is ranked in Avance Media’s Inaugural list of Top 100 Ghana’s Women Board Directors collated in partnership with Acreaty Ghana.
