Margaret Ekuah Prah is an accomplished professional with a remarkable career spanning management consulting, law, and diplomacy. Her significant contributions as Ghana’s High Commissioner to Zambia and Malawi from 2017 to 2020 have greatly enhanced the country’s international relations.

 

Ms. Prah’s journey began in 1977 when she joined the governor’s secretariat of the Bank of Ghana. After gaining valuable experience, she ventured to Massachusetts, where she excelled as a management consultant. Upon her return to Ghana, she served as a consultant for renowned audit firms including Deloitte, Price Waterhouse Coopers, and Ernst & Young.

 

Throughout her career, Ms. Prah has held non-executive director positions with prestigious organizations such as South Akim Manufacturing Company Ltd., the Ghana Audit Service Board, Barclays Bank of Ghana Limited, Savanna Farmers Marketing Company Ltd., and SIC Insurance Company Ltd. She has also served as Chairperson for Labadi Beach Hotel and Accion International Microfinance in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

 

Demonstrating her entrepreneurial spirit, Ms. Prah founded Margotex Ventures and Textiles Plus, textile retailers in Makola Market and Kaneshie. Under her leadership and vision, the business experienced significant success, showcasing her exceptional entrepreneurial skills.

 

Ms. Prah is a distinguished alumna of Leeds University in the United Kingdom and Murray Edwards College (New Hall) at Cambridge University. She holds a double honors degree in English and history, as well as a law degree. Her outstanding educational background, combined with her extensive professional experience, positions her as a valuable asset to the Ghanaian community and beyond.
