Laurette Korkor Otchere is a highly accomplished professional serving as a Non-Executive Director with Societe General Bank Ghana. With her background as a Barrister at Law and Deputy Director General Operations and Benefits at the Social Security and National Insurance Trust, she brings a wealth of legal and operational expertise to the board.

 

Laurette holds a Juris Doctor degree, demonstrating her strong legal foundation, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, which further enriches her understanding of business dynamics. In addition, she is a Certified Professional in Human Resources (SHRM-CP), showcasing her dedication to enhancing HR practices and strategies.

 

With memberships in the Ghana Bar, State of New Jersey Bar, and the United States District Court, District of New Jersey, Laurette possesses a global perspective on legal matters. Her vast professional experience spans internationally and locally, providing her with a comprehensive understanding of legal and operational complexities in different contexts.

 

Beyond her board responsibilities, Laurette contributes to academia as an Adjunct Professor at Rutgers University School of Management and Labor Relations. She also holds a position with the Society for Human Resource Management, further demonstrating her commitment to advancing the field of HR.

 

Joining the Board of Directors in July 2017, Laurette’s appointment was granted approval by the Bank of Ghana on 6 September 2017. Her extensive legal knowledge, operational acumen, and international experience make her a valuable asset to the board. Her dedication to fostering effective governance, legal compliance, and strategic decision-making contribute to the overall success and growth of the organization.
