Dr Judy Dlamini is the Chancellor of University of the Witwatersrand, founder & executive Chairman of Mbekani Group and former Chairman of Aspen Pharmacare Limited, a JSE-listed pharmaceutical multinational.She was born in 1959 during the dark days of apartheid in Westville (in South Africa). She is the recipient of the 2016 African Economy Builder Award, the Global CEO’s 2016 Africa’s Most Influential Women in Business and Government SADC South award for the Business and Professional Services sector at regional and national level. She started her career as a medical doctor before she went into business.

 

Dr Judy Dlamini was named among the Inaugural List of 100 Most Influential African Women in 2019 by Avance Media.
