Mrs. Olusola David-Borha, also known as Sola, B.Sc (Econs), MBA has been the Chief Executive of Africa Regions at The Standard Bank of South Africa Limited since January 1, 2017. Mrs. David-Borha served as the Chief Executive Officer of Stanbic IBTC Holdings PLC until January 19, 2017 and also served as its Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of Corporate & Investment Banking. She served as the Chief Executive Officer and Acting Managing Director at IBTC Chartered Bank plc and Executive Director of Corporate and Investment Banking (excluding South Africa).

 

She was responsible for overseeing the Corporate Finance and Corporate Banking Departments, Project and Structure Finance Departments, Asset Management and Private Banking. She also supervises Treasury and Financial Services and is also responsible for the Bank’s correspondent banking relationships.

 

She served as the Chief Executive of Stanbic IBTC Bank Plc from May 2011 to November 2012 and served as its and Head of Investment Banking Coverage Africa (excluding South Africa) and Deputy Chief Executive Officer. She serves as the Vice Chairman of the Board of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group. She serves as Non-Executive Director on the Board of CR Services Credit Bureau PLC and the University of Ibadan Business School. She joined the Board of IBTC in July 1994.

 

She has been a Non-Executive Director of Coca-Cola HBC AG since June 26, 2015. She serves as a Director of Stanbic IBTC Bank PLC, Stanbic Nominees Nigeria Ltd, Stanbic IBTC Stockbrokers Ltd, Stanbic IBTC Asset Management Ltd., Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers Ltd, Stanbic IBTC Ventures Ltd, Financial Institutions Training Centre (FITC), First Securities Discount House, CRC Credit Bureau Limited (Also known as Credit Reference Company), Frezone Plant Fabrication Int Ltd, First SMI Investment Company, Fate Foundation, Redeemers International School. She served as a Director at Stanbic IBTC Holdings PLC from 1994 to March 25, 2017.

 

She served as an Executive Director of IBTC Chartered Bank PLC. Mrs. David-Borha holds BS in Economics from the University of Ibadan, 1981 and obtained an MBA degree from Manchester Business School, United Kingdom, 1991. Her executive educational experience includes the Advanced Management Program (AMP) of the Harvard Business School and GCP (IESE, Wharton, CEIBS). She is an Honorary Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).

 

She was also named among the Inaugural, Second and Third List of 100 Most Influential African Women in 2019, 2020 & 2021 by Avance Media.
