Patience Asante is an exceptional finance professional and a results-oriented expert in risk management. With over 19 years of experience, she has established herself as a credit governance specialist, adept at managing risk, project finance, and developing innovative credit structures and products for both corporate and retail markets. Patience’s expertise lies in credit management and administration, where she has held senior-level positions.
Before joining First Atlantic Bank, Patience excelled in managing risk assets portfolios totaling over GH¢750 million and $250 million at Universal Merchant Bank (UMB) as the Director of Credit and Risk Management, as well as at United Bank for Africa (UBA) as the Head of Credit. She began her banking career in 1997 as a financial analyst and steadily progressed to become the Deputy Manager of Risk Management in 2006 at Ecobank Ghana Limited. From 2006 to 2012, she played various roles in Risk Management and Finance functions at Woolwich Building Society, European Social Fund in the United Kingdom, and the International Bank in Liberia, where she served as the Head of Credit.
Patience holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Banking and Finance, as well as a Master of Business Administration (Finance) from the University of Ghana. Her academic qualifications, combined with her extensive practical experience, have equipped her with a deep understanding of the finance industry and positioned her as a trusted professional in the field.
