Nana Yaa Owusu-Ansah is the esteemed Beauty and Personal Care Director for Unilever Ghana & Nigeria.

 

Nana Yaa’s professional journey has been marked by remarkable achievements. She previously held the position of Head of Marketing for Africa Emerging Markets, a prominent South Africa-based company responsible for overseeing operations in 24 markets, including Angola, Cameroon, DRC, Mauritius, Gabon, and various Southern African markets. In 2016, she joined Unilever Ghana as the Brand Building Director, and a year later, in 2017, she assumed the role of Beauty and Personal Care Director for both Unilever Ghana and Nigeria.

 

Under her leadership, the beauty and personal care unit at Unilever has experienced remarkable growth, contributing significantly to the company’s overall success. Nana Yaa’s strategic direction has led to a substantial expansion of the portfolio, particularly in the areas of skincare, skin cleansing, and oral health. Notably, flagship products such as Pepsodent and Geisha have maintained their market dominance.

 

With an impressive 18 years of marketing experience, Nana Yaa’s expertise has played a pivotal role in driving Unilever’s market share growth. Her astute leadership and effective strategies have helped mitigate the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, while also addressing pre-existing fiscal issues. Her contributions have been invaluable to the sustained success of Unilever’s brands.
