Angela Peasah became a member of the Nominating Committee of IFAC effective January 1, 2020. She was nominated by the Institute of Chartered Accountants (Ghana) for this role.

 

Currently, Mrs. Peasah holds the position of Head of Payroll Processing Directorate at the Controller and Accountant General’s Department Ghana. Previously, she served as the Director of Public Accounts. She has been actively involved in the Ghana International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) Implementation Committee. Throughout her career, she has contributed to various committees and boards in both the public and private sectors, spanning education, manufacturing, and other sub-sectors. Notably, she currently serves as a non-executive Director of Unilever Ghana PLC.

 

Mrs. Peasah has held esteemed positions within the accounting profession. She served as the President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (Ghana) and was one of the pioneering members of the Association of Women Accountants, Ghana, where she also held the role of President. She was a council member of the Association of Accountancy Bodies in West Africa (ABWA) and served as a board member of the Pan African Federation of Accountants (PAFA).

 

With regard to her education, Mrs. Peasah holds an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) degree from the University of Ghana Business School.
