Mansa Nettey is a highly accomplished banking executive from Ghana, who made history by becoming the first female CEO appointed by the Standard Chartered Bank of Ghana. With over 19 years of experience in the banking sector, Mrs. Nettey has held various senior roles in corporate and institutional banking. She is highly regarded for her breadth of knowledge and deep insights of the market, which has helped to drive the growth of the Ghana business. Mrs. Nettey holds a master’s degree from the Manchester Business School and an undergraduate degree in pharmacy from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

 

Throughout her banking career, Mrs. Nettey has achieved numerous successes, including leading a sales team in developing the financial market in Ghana. She has served as the head of foreign exchange sales in Ghana and across West Africa, as well as the head of financial markets in Ghana. In addition to her role as CEO of Standard Chartered Bank of Ghana, she also serves as an executive director of the board of Standard Chartered Bank of Ghana and a non-executive director of the board of Standard Chartered Bank of Nigeria.

 

Mrs. Nettey is a well-respected figure in the banking industry, and her achievements have not gone unnoticed. She was the recipient of several industry awards, including being named as Africa’s Most Influential Women in Business and Government by CEO Global in 2018/2019. Furthermore, she founded the Leukemia Project Foundation in Ghana after battling with leukemia for some years, demonstrating her passion for helping others.
