Sarah-Mary Frimpong has had an impressive career in the accounting and auditing field. She spent 22 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers Ghana, where she became the first female Assurance Partner. Prior to this, she worked as the Acting Chief Accountant at the Ghana National Trading Corporation Limited in Accra and as a Divisional Accountant at the Bottling Division.

 

In addition to her professional achievements, she has also been actively involved in various professional organizations. She was a founding member and the first Treasurer of the ACCA Ghana Branch, and later served as Chairperson of the ACCA Ghana Network Panel from 2013 to 2015. In 2013, she represented ACCA Ghana at the International Assembly in the United Kingdom, and was also a member of the ACCA Global Forum for Audit and Assurance for several years.

 

She is a fellow of ACCA and a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants (Ghana), and she qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in August 1986 after studying at the London School of Accountancy and Metropolitan College, London. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and pursuing her hobbies.

 

Sarah-Mary Frimpong is ranked in Avance Media’s Inaugural list of Top 100 Ghana’s Women Board Directors collated in partnership with Acreaty Ghana.
