Ms. Rosie Ebe-Arthur is a highly experienced professional with a strong background in human resources management. As a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) in the UK, she has accumulated a wealth of knowledge and expertise from her extensive work experience in the UK and Africa.
Ms. Ebe-Arthur started her career at Ernst & Young as Associate Director of People Services, Africa Projects in South Africa, where she was responsible for Sub Saharan Africa. She then moved on to work at Ecobank Transnational Incorporated, where she served as Group Human Resources Business Partner for Domestic Bank, overseeing operations across 33 countries.
Later on, Ms. Ebe-Arthur joined Standard Chartered Bank and quickly rose to the position of Head of Human Resources, West Africa, responsible for Nigeria, Ghana, Cote D’Ivoire, Cameroun, Gambia and Sierra Leone. Currently, she serves as the Group Head of Human Capital Management & Development for First Bank Nigeria and Subsidiaries, where she is responsible for driving and implementing the People Strategy across the Bank’s operations in Africa, the UK, France, and China.
Ms. Ebe-Arthur holds a Postgraduate degree in Personnel Management from the University of Westminster, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Education with a Diploma in English. She is also an alumna of Management Programs at INSEAD and The Said Business School, University of Oxford. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, dancing, and reading management books, and is passionate about the future of work.
Ms. Ebe-Arthur is a proud mother of her creative son Nana, a Gen Z, whom she constantly challenges with her new knowledge. She believes in developing exceptional employees and finding the hidden diamonds in people by creating the right environment for them to thrive. She is also passionate about the future of Africa and believes that with distributed leadership, Africa will play a more significant role in the world.
