Ama Bawuah is a highly accomplished and resourceful businesswoman with a proven track record in strategic management, marketing, public affairs and communications. She graduated from Wesley Girls’ High School and the University of Ghana with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and French. She also holds an MBA in Strategic Management and Marketing from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University in Atlanta, USA.

 

Ama has worked with several multinational corporations, including Coca-Cola and Newmont Mining, where she served as Regional Lead for Public Affairs and Communications in North and Equatorial Africa and Senior Director for Government Relations for the Africa Region, respectively. In addition, she has worked with Citigroup’s Global Transactions Services team for the Corporate and Investment Bank Division at its headquarters in New York and consulted for DFID and UNDP.

 

Currently, Ama is the founder and Executive Chairman of GG&B Partners Brokerage Limited, an Insurance Brokerage and Business Advisory Company. She provides business intermediation and consulting services to large companies and multinationals in navigating government policy and community development spaces.

 

Ama has also served on several boards in corporate Ghana, including GCB Bank, Zawadi Girls Educational Fund, Newmont Akyem Development Foundation, and Callens Solutions Ltd. She is also the Board Chair of Tallmast Ltd.

 

Ama Sarpong Bawuah is ranked in Avance Media’s Inaugural list of Top 100 Ghana’s Women Board Directors collated in partnership with Acreaty Ghana.
